Preliminary Examination:

- The Preliminary Examination will be an Online Computer Based Examination
- It will consist of Objective Type Questions
- Each paper will consist of 100 Marks and will be of 2 hours duration
- The language of the question paper will be in English
Mains Examination:

- The Main Examination will be of Descriptive Type
- There will be two papers: Paper-I (Criminal) and Paper-II (Civil)
- Each paper will consist of 100 Marks and the time duration for each paper is 3 Hours
- The language of the Question Paper will be in English
Viva-Voce Test:
- The Viva Voce Test will be of 50 Marks
- The objective of the Viva-voce Test is to assess the suitability of the candidate for the cadre, by judging the mental alertness, knowledge of the law, clear and logical exposition, balance of judgment, skills, attitude, ethics, power of assimilation, power of communication, character and intellectual depth, analytical ability and the like, of the candidate.
