- The Preliminary Examination will be an Online Computer Based Examination
- It will consist of Objective Type Questions
- Duration of exam will be for 2 Hours.
- There will be negative marking of 0.33 mark for each wrong answer.
- The language of 75 Questions will be in English and 25 Questions will be in Gujarati.

Viva-Voce Test:
- The Viva Voce Test will be of 50 Marks.
- The objective of the Viva-voce Test is to assess the suitability of the candidate for the cadre, by judging the mental alertness, knowledge of the law, clear and logical exposition, balance of judgment, skills, attitude, ethics, power of assimilation, power of communication, character and intellectual depth, analytical ability and the like, of the candidate.
