Section 132 For Hostile Witness

Section 132:

_ Hostile witness is ensnared by Section 132 of Evidence Act.

_ Section 132 creates a window whereby a witness may be compelled to answer criminating questions that tend to expose witness to penalty or forfeiture. (Proviso to Section 132 however protects the witness answering such a question from any arrest or prosecution.) But, proviso permits actions against such a witness for giving false evidence.
